Annual Art Exhibit Opens

Posted on February 3, 2016February 5, 2019

The annual art exhibit presented by the Battery Park City Parks opened on Sunday at the gallery in their headquarters. Scores of watercolors, charcoal and pen drawings were on display, the fruit of labor from dozens of students who participated in the free weekly art classes offered May through October.

Inspired by the natural beautiful beauty of the harbor and the urban environment of Lower Manhattan, this year’s art work displayed talent and individuality amongst the artists. Landscapes, urban scenes and figure drawing were among the subjects.

New classes will begin in May and extend through the end of October. The classes are free and materials are provided. For more information call 212-267- 9700.
