T-Bone Tastes on a Bean-Sprouts Budget

Posted on January 20, 2026January 20, 2026

Restaurant Week in Lower Manhattan Begins Today

Let’s stop kidding ourselves: Nobody still believes that Restaurant Week is actually a week. The seasonal edition of this several-times-a-year gourmet gala begins today and runs through February 12, which comes to 24 calendar days, but most eateries don’t offer the deals on Saturdays, which reduces the duration to an even 20. Maybe it should be rebranded as scoregasbord?

For Downtown townies who fear turning losing touch with their roots if they venture above Canal Street, the good news is even if you visited one participating restaurant in Lower Manhattan each day, you wouldn’t get to all to them. Below, a list of 31 local eateries where a two-course lunches and three-course dinners are offered for $30, $45 and $60. In many of these locations, the everyday prices are significantly higher than Restaurant Week offerings, which makes this value proposition a compelling opportunity to try places that might ordinarily be outside your budget. Because seats go fast, please call ahead to confirm availability and make a reservation.
