55 wall street

Troubles on Wall Street

Posted on March 4, 2015

To the editor:

How might locals fight the introduction of this venue? 55 Wall already congests the narrow, one-way streets terribly.

Warm regards, Roark Dunn

Editor’s reply:
Residents are welcome to attend meetings of Community Board 1’s Financial District Committee (usually on the first Wednesday of each month), as well as that of Community Board 1 as a whole (usually on the last Tuesday of the month. Please check Community Board 1’s website to confirm meeting times and locations. Concerned citizens are also invited to share their views with the State Liquor Authority, either via e-mail or in person. Please see the State Liquor Authority’s website for the times and locations of public meetings. Finally, elected officials representing Lower Manhattan are also receptive to residents’ concerns. City Council member Margaret Chin, Assembly member Sheldon Silver, State Senator Daniel Squadron, and Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer would all be useful people to contact.
