One of the little known benefits of living in Battery Park City is its Community Center tucked away in Stuyvesant High School on Chambers Street.  The Center is administered by the Battery Park City Authority and the facilities are first rate.

bpcaccshs_kidwheel-1Fitness classes offer Tai Chi, Bounce Fit Cardio and Boxing Classes. There’s a gym to shoot some hoops and play a game of pickup ball, a half-Olympic sized pool to splash around in or swim some laps, and a weight room to work on those biceps.

Last Saturday, close to 600 people stopped by the Community Center as it held a free day of events to promote all that the center has to offer.
