To the editor,
I find Jerrold Nadler’s actions so offensive! How many times have other congressmen and senators felt like Nadler. How many have objected to the newly elected president and how many have refused to attend the elected president’s inauguration?
Nadler is not worthy of being our congressman and should step down.
I just object to an attitude I find “childish”: You don’t like whose playing so you pick up your toys and go home? Stay and try to make things better!!

To the editor,
Your reader, Rosemarie Fredella, takes exception to Congressman Jerrold Nadler’s decision regarding the Inauguration of President Trump. Fine. She has every right to agree or disagree with Congressman Nadler, President Trump, you, me or any other American. Our wonderful Constitution provides a ready solution to our disagreements: the vote. Run against Rep. Nadler. Or, work for a candidate with whom you agree. Contribute to a campaign if your work schedule makes that a problem. There is so much we can do in our wonderful country to express our agreement or disagreement with our government.
But don’t ask Congressman Nadler, or for that matter, President Trump, to step down because you don’t agree with an action, especially when it is not about anything as substantive as policy, but just what you may consider poor manners. Frankly, I consider it a civil and peaceful statement of disagreement.

In response to the letter on Friday from Craig S. regarding the mistaken assumption that everyone living in a Democrat district shares the same view on abortion, etc., we say: “AMEN.”
