Challenge yourself in a Swiss-style tournament where each participant will have the opportunity to compete, learn and develop their interest in chess. Awards will be given out at the 1PM ceremony. $15 For ages 5-12. This is a drop-off program. Battery Park City Authority

Native Art Market
National Museum of the American Indian at One Bowling Green
The museum’s annual Native Art Market features more than 30 indigenous artists from across the Western Hemisphere. A wide selection of traditional and contemporary handcrafted artworks, including jewelry, fine apparel, beadwork, pottery, dolls, prints, and sculpture, are available for purchase. Today and tomorrow.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show Experience
South Street Seaport Museum
The South Street Seaport Museum presents The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show Experience, a fun- filled hour-long experience complete with an interactive puppet show, activities, activity sheets and the opportunity to take a picture with The Very Hungry Caterpillar. This experience is a “story-time format” with seating for children on mats or with their parents in chairs. The atmosphere is very casual and children are encouraged to participate at whatever level they are most comfortable. Various times,10am, 11:30am, and 1pm; check website for details. Bowne Printers Workshop
South Street Seaport Museum
This three-and-a-half-hour workshop introduces participants to typesetting and letterpress printing small runs of custom work.
Participants learn how to operate the presses themselves, and each person goes home with twenty-five personal stationery items. This workshop is great for all skill levels, and is intended to engage in every part of the printing process, we even teach you how to clean the press at the end! $100 209 Water Street.
